Town Receives National Award
The National Association of Town Watch presented the Erie Police Department with an award recognizing the outstanding participation in ‘America’s Night Out Against Crime’ on August
4, 2020. Due to the pandemic, rather than hosting a traditional cook-out, the Police Department organized a ‘Police Popsicle Parade’ event. Along the parade route, officers, firefighters, emergency medical service, and Waste Connections met briefly with residents at nine local parks and maintained 6 feet of social distance while wearing masks.-
