What is SNAP? The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program—or SNAP—is the food assistance program in Colorado and was formerly known as food stamps. SNAP provides assistance benefits as part of a federal nutrition program to help low-income households purchase food.

United Power is now accepting scholarship applications for its 2021 awards. More than $20,000 in scholarships will be rewarded to eighteen high school seniors in its service territory based on a combination of grades, test scores, extracurricular activities and a brief essay. All Adams County Government offices will be closed for business today, Jan. 18, and tomorrow, Jan 19. Normal business hours will resume Wednesday at 7 a.m. for the government building and 8 a.m. for the Human Services Center.
The Riverdale Animal Shelter is closed today. Normal business hours will resume tomorrow at 11 a.m.
