As we prepare to turn the page to a new chapter and a new year, we can’t help but to reflect on what a challenging year 2020 was, not just for the criminal justice system, but for everyone in every walk of
life.It was a year of pivoting. It was a year of much loss. It was a year of many challenges and difficulties.
But it was also a year of growth. It was a year of overcoming many challenges we never fathomed experiencing.
Through all the changes, though, one thing remained.
The quality of service we still provided for Weld County residents and victims, stayed the same.
And it will never change for the worse, no matter what comes our way in the days ahead.
To the Weld County community, thank you. Thank you for trusting in us to protect you in one of the most difficult years.
And thank you for allowing us to continue serving you as we turn the page and start a new chapter in 2021.
Here’s to a happy, healthy, and safe new year!

Stopping a pandemic requires using all the tools available to us. No one tool alone can stop the pandemic, but the vaccine is the most helpful, and until it is widely available and used, the CDC encourages you
to continue to wear a mask, physical distance, avoid gatherings, and wash your hands often. For more information about the vaccines and what else you can do to protect yourself and others, go to https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/downloads/vaccines/facts-covid-vaccines-english-508.pdf.
