Roadways are slick – please stay off them tonight if possible 🚗 The snow has been accumulating this evening and roads are now snow-covered and slick. City crews are out putting de-icer down but conditions are proving challenging. If you must drive tonight, please significantly reduce your speed and leave more room between your car and other cars. Please give city vehicles a wide berth as they work on the roads.

Send our educators and staff love virtually this Valentine’s Day!
Thompson Education Foundation is proud to host a Virtual Valentine fundraiser to support Thompson School District.

Custom Valentines have been created to send to the over 2,000 education heroes in the Thompson School District. Donate online and include a personal message for a specific person or a general message for any employee. TEF volunteers will handwrite your message on a Valentine card and deliver to our schools. Help ensure that all our educators and staff are appreciated this Valentine’s Day!
All custom Valentines with handwritten notes are just a $6 donation
Valentine donations are due by 2/4/21 so volunteers can write messages and deliver to the schools by Friday 2/12/21.

Steps:
-Visit the TEF Website: https://bit.ly/3qstO9c
-Make your donation on Eventbrite: https://bit.ly/3o3ae1A
-Choose the school you want to send a Valentine to (or any school)
-Add an optional personal note

Thank you! Valentine’s will be distributed to schools in time for Valentine’s Day!

The Thompson School District Early Childhood Program is pleased to announce that we have received a “Great Ideas Grant” from the Thompson Education Foundation to create an opportunity for staff to read a bedtime story to your child every Tuesday evening. We have called this Tuck In Tuesday and you can access these videos via YouTube.

We are excited to share some of our favorite stories with you and hope you enjoy them as part of your bedtime routine each week! Our first story is brought to you by Amy Gerhard, Assistant Administrator for the Early Childhood Program.
