Thank you is something we can't say enough these days. We have always been grateful for our partnership with the doctors, nurses, and hospital staff at our local hospitals. Not just in Larimer County or the State of Colorado, but around the world. Those working this Christmas know that your service, sacrifice, and dedication in the fight against COVID-19 has not gone unnoticed. From the bottom of our hearts, Thank you. We are and will forever be grateful for YOU and everything you do!
On December 21, first responders from fire, EMS, and law enforcement agencies in Larimer, Boulder, and Weld County joined forces to thank those working at 9 hospitals withing those counties. Each hospital was presented with a banner signed by first responders to be hung in the hospitals as a reminder that we will forever be thankful for what they do.

Jan. 15 County Road 9 Barn Fire – Wellington Fire Protection District

2021-01-16 15:14:01
Around 8:30 p.m. on January 15, Wellington Fire responded to a structure fire on N. County Road 9, north of Wellington. When Engine 16 arrived on scene, they saw a barn approximately 1,000 square feet in size
fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters began a defensive attack on the fire to prevent it from spreading to a nearby home and field. Additional personnel and a water tender were requested from Poudre Fire Authority due to the lack of fire hydrants in the area. Firefighters from both agencies were able to control the fire shortly after arriving on scene. Firefighters with Wellington remained on scene overnight to put out hotspots and monitor for any flare-ups.Three people were inside the barn when the fire started. Everyone was out of the building when Engine 16 arrived on scene. One person was transported to a local hospital by UCHealth with injuries. Two others were evaluated and released at the scene. The cause of the fire is unknown, and the investigation has been turned over to Wellington Fire investigators.
