Milliken, Co – The Milliken Police Department has seen an influx of complaints regarding people walking on the ice at Centennial and Ehrlich lakes. There are several signs in place reminding people to stay off the ice, however, we are seeing more and more younger children on the ice. Therefore, we wanted to reiterate to the public about the dangers
of being on the ice and making sure we remind others including children to Stay off the Ice. There are currently running aerators on the lake to prevent fish kill and are running constantly, the steady movement of the water prevents the water from freezing and may amount to thinner ice. The safety of our community is important and the dangers of falling through the ice can be preventable, we need your help in reminding others including children to stay off the ice.If you have any questions or need to report someone on the ice, please contact the Milliken Police Department (970) 587-2772.
