Yesterday, this young gentleman named Gunner made our entire day! He handpicked 625 pinecones and painted a blue line on each one. Gunner and his parents reached out to The Human Bean of Northern Colorado, and they graciously donated coupons for coffee. Crystal and Gunner delivered these gift bags to us yesterday! We are humbled by the thoughtfulness and genuine kindness that this family has shown us.
This morning we received this message from Crystal, Gunner's mother.
"I barely slept last night after all the excitement of the day. Three of your amazing officers, including Officer Amick, stopped by our home last night to personally thank Gunner for the ornaments. We were humbled by their kindness and, as you can imagine, Gunner was delighted to meet them and see the three patrol cars with lights on parked in front of the house. When the officers departed, they turned on the sirens, which felt like a salute and left an indelible impression on our hearts! It was a breathtaking event that will forever stay in all of our memories. As a parent, I want to thank these three officers for reinforcing that my son's hard work and generosity was appreciated. "
