Today, Joseph Koppes, Weld County Sheriff’s Office Detention Deputy III, was recognized by the Board of County Commissioners for 15 years of service to Weld County Government. Koppes, who helped manage the inner workings of the jail, was presented a Certificate of Achievement followed by board congratulations and remarks. Sheriff Steve Reams also congratulated Koppes, saying his legacy will live on, as he has trained many current deputies.

Collaborative efforts to enhance safety at the intersection of Weld County Road (WCR) 74 and 35 moved forward last week after the Weld County Board of Commissioners entered into an Intergovernmental Agreement with the Town of Eaton to fund a proportional share roundabout project anticipated to be complete in the summer of 2022.

After 20 years of faithful service to the residents of Weld County, Barbara Kirkmeyer will complete her fifth term as a Weld County Commissioner.
