We’ve been extra good this year, so Santa agreed to spend a few nights riding around in one of our fire engines to say a special “Hi” to the kids of all ages in our fire district. Santa has a busy schedule, so he won’t be able to stop along the route, but you can come out and wave to Ol’ Kris Kringle as he goes by! Fire trucks aren’t as maneuverable as Santa’s sleigh, and they are harder to see out of, so we ask that for everyone’s safety that well-wishers stay on the sidewalk when Santa goes by.
We will be posting route maps on our website early next week. Watch this space for updates!

A Message from Fire Chief Kris Kazian

Windsor Severance Fire Rescue Community,
Last week I decided to take a hiatus from my message to the community. To be honest, it was a pretty overwhelming
week for many of us. I thought it would be good to back away from the keyboard on Friday and take a little time to breath and process. We all clearly have differences of opinions and sadly social media has created some very challenging divides. Ironically, I am… MoreWindsor News

🚧Trail Closure Alert: Starting on Monday, January 18, a portion of the Poudre River Trail near Whiting Reservoir will be closed. The closure is anticipated to last approximately 4 months. A detour will be located 1 mile east of Colorado Blvd. and 1/2 mile west of Eastman Park. The detour follows a gravel utility road that is rough and uneven. Dismounting is recommended if on a bike. The detour passes through private property so trail users are asked to stay on the road. For your safety, and out of respect for private property owners that allow the Poudre Trail to pass through their property, please do not go around signage and barriers. The detour is due to construction of the new Raindance Golf Course.
