More people than ever are struggling with mental health issues due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Stress, uncertainty, and having to adapt to a "new normal" are all factors that can contribute to emotional distress. Please know that your mental health matters! Join Supporting Action for Mental Health (SAM) this weekend, Friday Dec. 11 6-9 pm & Saturday Dec. 12 10 am-4 pm, for a NO COST virtual mental health workshop. Learn more about how you can use yoga, meditation, art, music and more as tools for mental wellness. Most workshops will be offered in English and Spanish! Some classes have already sold out (waitlist available) but we still have some spots available for the following classes:

🧘🏽Welcome and Guided Meditation (6-6:45 pm Friday): Join us to learn about and prepare for your mental health retreat with a short welcome and a guide

πŸ‘ͺParenting Workshop (8-9 pm In English and from 7-8 in Spanish Friday): Discuss strategies that can help increase effective communication and help nurture your child’s developing brain

πŸ§˜πŸ»β€β™€οΈMooka: Yoga & Mindfulness for Kids + Families (11-11:45 am Saturday): This workshop will teach your little ones simple tools to help regulate emotions

πŸ“Lecture & Food Demonstration Class (11 am-12:30 pm Saturday): You will learn helpful healthy tips to make fresh power juices easy and quick at home

πŸ§‘β€Why Mental Health Matters in Youth-For ages 13-17 (1-2:30 pm Saturday): Conversation about why your mental health matters for teens

πŸ’‘Couples Workshop "Loving Me, Loving You" (2-3:30 pm in English and 12-1:30pm in Spanish Saturday): In this workshop you will learn principles for making a marriage work

🀸Tai Chi for Health and Wellness (2-3 pm Saturday): Learn Tai Chi's fluid, slow movements to relax the body and mind to help reduce stress

The fee is $220 for up to 25 skaters and includes rental skates. Masks are required.
