Dear Louisville Residents,

Governor Polis launched Colorado’s new COVID-19 vaccine website https://covid19.colorado.gov/vaccine today, which includes a timeline and distribution plan as well as answers to many common questions. If after visiting the website, you still have questions about where you are in the vaccine distribution table, you can call 1-877-462-2911.

While the vaccines will soon start to arrive in our state, it will take months before everyone can access a vaccine. The vaccine prioritization is based on how we can save the most lives and end the pandemic as quickly as possible. The vaccine will be provided free of charge and is the gateway to a future without this pandemic.
This is excellent news, but please remember that until a vaccine is widely available, Coloradans should continue to avoid in-person interactions, physical distance, and wear a mask. The current COVID-19 Dial Public Health Order still prohibits personal gatherings of any kind. This includes gathering at a restaurant for outdoor dining with anyone outside of your household.

Community Resources

This has been a difficult year for everyone, but I know it has been more difficult for some residents than others. I wanted to take a moment to remind you that there are community resources available if you need help with utility bills, food, housing, or other basic needs.

On the City’s Community Resources website www.louisvilleco.gov/communityresources, you’ll find contact details for local resources like Sister Carmen Community Center, Community Food Share, Louisville Community Food Bank, and Coal Creek Meals on Wheels, as well as programs for utility bill assistance. You can also find details of where to direct any charitable donations.

Additionally, there are also resources available across Boulder County for everything from childcare to housing https://www.bouldercounty.org/…/cov…/covid-19-resources/.

Sincerely,
Mayor Stolzmann

A number of BVSD students helped to organize the City of Lafayette Colorado Government‘s 16th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration this morning at Centaurus High School.

The members of the Lafayette Youth Advisory Committee were determined to keep their event going this year, despite the ongoing pandemic. They thought outside the box and organized a car parade and drive-in rally.

This program was created by The Grief Support Network in 2019 after a community call-to-action for teen suicide prevention. Each program meets weekly for a themed class consisting of yoga, meditation, journaling, group sharing and somatic exploration. This proven approach is derived from GSN’s signature yoga therapy programs and has been modified to fit the surmounting difficulties high school students face today – bullying, sexual identity, academic, social and athletic pressures, family conflict and grief.
