UPDATE: There is now a waitlist for the City of Brighton’s second round of Household Rent and Mortgage Assistance. Due to an overwhelming number of applications, the City has awarded all of the funds allocated for this grant. Individuals on the waitlist will be prioritized in the event of additional funding.
BRIGHTON RESIDENTS: The City has opened up a second round of its Brighton Household Rent and Mortgage Assistance Grant – it provides up to $3,000 in assistance for rent and mortgage payments to those who have

1️⃣ Plug only 1 heat-producing appliance (like a coffee maker, space heater, or microwave) directly into a wall outlet at a time.
2️⃣ Never use an extension cord with a heat-producing appliance.
3️⃣ Extension cords should only be used temporarily. Have an electrician install additional wall outlets where you need them.
