Do you love gardening and teaching others about horticulture? If so, become a Certified Colorado Gardener with online trainings starting in January 2021. Fourteen non-credit courses teach individuals about tree care, entomology, growing vegetables and fruits, botany, weed management and more. At the end of the training, individuals earn a Colorado Gardener Certificate. However, because there is no subsequent volunteer commitment, participants do not become Colorado Master Gardeners. See schedules, pricing and register online by December 31 at https://cmg.extension.colostate.edu/.

Bucklen Services Inc. became the latest small business to benefit from the Weld County Small Business Incentive Program after the Board of Commissioners approved a Tier 1 grant of $2,813 from the county’s Economic Development Fund on Monday. Bucklen Services Inc. is the third Weld County business to benefit from the program this year and the 14th since the program’s inception in 2014. The funds will assist Bucklen Services Inc. with some of the costs incurred while starting a new concrete and aggregate mining business in 2019.
Designed to assist small businesses in unincorporated Weld County offset many startup costs related to permitting and land use fees, to date, the Small Business Incentive Program has distributed a total of $223,940.64 to small businesses in unincorporated Weld County.
