It’s super, it’s science, and kids can do it all at home—it’s an all-new, live Virtual Super Science Saturday! Your kids can become scientists next Saturday, December 14, from 9-10:30am as we explore the world of mirrors and vision by making functional kaleidoscopes. Scientists will receive a take-home science kit and a secure Zoom link for a live presentation from a museum educator. Your kiddo will get live step-by-step instructions to create their kaleidoscope—no supervision from you required! Who needs Saturday morning cartoons?!

This program for kids ages 6-12 is $10 per student and includes all supplies and the live presentation. Kits can be picked up at the Art & Heritage Center Dec 7-11 between 9-5:30pm, and the Zoom link will be sent after registration. Servant leaders have a keen awareness for the needs of others and exude a positive energy that translates into everything they say and do. These are the people we want to gravitate toward. These are the people we call friends, even if we don’t know each other by name. These are the people who make our world a more just and caring place simply by being a part of it. They have a kind smile and bright heart and they always have something to teach us.

On November 20, the Town of Windsor lost a dear friend. Ivan Lee Adams was someone who loved Windsor’s residents without boundary—he was a true servant leader.

A former educator and Town Board member, Ivan worked hard to ensure that Windsor leaders stayed on the path of managed, sustainable growth and good stewardship of town resources. Ivan was a familiar face—he attended every town event and if there was a football game at the high school, he was usually there to cheer for our local students. In 2018, he was honored by the Windsor Harvest Fest committee as parade Grand Marshall.

Ivan loved Windsor. He loved our residents and he cared deeply for our children.

This week we say goodbye to a dear friend and leader. We celebrate Ivan’s life, a life well-lived.

Thank you, Ivan, for your service to our community. It was really nice knowing you. 💔
