🟡 Manhattan Middle School of Arts and Academics will move to remote learning starting November 4 due to a lack of in-person staffing caused by quarantines. The hope is for these students to return in-person on November 12. 🟡 La Escuela Secundaria de Artes y Academia Manhattan iniciará aprendizaje a distancia a partir del 4 de noviembre debido a la falta de personal causada por las cuarentenas. Esperamos que los estudiantes puedan regresar al aprendizaje presencial el 12 de noviembre.

Since 1997, time spent with digital technology has risen 32% among 2- to 5-year-olds and 23% among 6- to 11-year-olds, new research from CU Boulder found. Even before the pandemic, adolescents spent 33 hours per week using digital technology outside of school.

However, this new research also suggests screen-time restrictions have little effect on technology use later in life, and that fears of widespread and long-lasting “tech addiction” may be overblown.

New research shows parental restrictions have few lasting effects on a child's tech use in young adulthood. Also, college students use more tech than they ever have in their lives or ever want to again.
