The American Red Cross has opened an evacuation site at the Embassy Suites, 4705 Clydesdale Pkwy in Loveland, for those needing shelter assistance. Call 970-324-3211 or 970-481-1243 for information.
U.S. Hwy. 34 has been closed from mile marker 65 to 85, which is between dry Gulch Road and County Road 27 to support evacuations and firefighting efforts.
👉City of Loveland utility shutoffs/orders:
To safeguard Loveland’s water delivery infrastructure, Loveland Water & Power is asking residents to end outdoor watering for the next several days until the effects of the fire become clearer. This mandatory suspension will be lifted as soon as conditions allow.
Power has been shut off to some homes on Cty. Rd. 43 west of Drake. There may be additional coordinated electrical power shut-offs in Big Thompson Canyon depending on fire activity.
