Quick 4:45 p.m. update from Operations on the Cameron Peak Fire. Not much has changed. The fire is continuing to burn toward the east but has not impacted Pingree Park Road yet. There is still an expectation that it will reach that far by sometime tonight. It is still burning south into the Rocky Mountain National Park but is hung up in the higher elevations in the tundra. Crews are still prepping structures along Pingree Park Road.

There are new voluntary evacuation areas. This is the Larimer County Sheriff's Office's emergency message for numerous areas along County Road 74E. The Cameron Peak fire officials have issued new voluntary evacuations for residents and business occupants in the following areas: County Road 74E east from Red Feather to include the Shambhala Center, Lady Moon, and Glacier View filings up to and including Hewlett Gulch Road, located west of mile marker 10. Residents in the area are encouraged to evacuate if they are concerned for their safety, feel they need additional time to exit the area, or have health conditions that may be aggravated by this incident. You are encouraged to move livestock and pets out of the area and to prepare for mandatory evacuations. For updates, text the word LCEVAC to 888777 from your cell phone. We will communicate information to that key word as needed. Please do not call 9-1-1 unless you are in danger. Thank you.
