It’s always good to have everyone home safe and sound. Both our Wildland Crews who were on 14-day deployments, and our Battalion Chief who was deployed for a week to Louisiana with the Colorado Task Force 1 Urban Search and Rescue team have returned home. Strong work at the wildland fires and hurricane aftermath crews! Deployments are both rewarding and exhausting. We are fortunate to have such great staff members who can be called upon in people’s time of need, be it locally, regionally, or nationally.

WSFR has 2 fire engines and 2 trucks working at the Cameron Peak Fire which grew to over 120,000 acres. There were large wind gusts that pushed the fire this weekend. Our crews continue to work hard alongside the nearly 1,000 other wildland firefighters on the ground. Here are a few pics from the last few days. #cameronpeakfire
