Boulder County Hazardous Materials Management Facility open to ALL Erie residents and businesses
Did you know that all Erie residents, even those on the Weld County side, can use Boulder County’s Hazardous Materials Management Facility (HMMF) for free to properly dispose of things like paint, motor oil, pesticides, batteries, and more? It’s true, and there are literally hundreds of materials that the HMMF will accept at no charge. The HMMF also accepts hazardous waste from businesses, but there are fees for this services.
Having your household waste properly disposed of, FOR FREE, will help ensure that they don’t pollute waterways and contaminate area landfills. Clearing out your home of these materials will also help keep you and your family safe from harmful toxins that are contained in many automotive, lawn and garden, and everyday household products.
There is only one catch, please schedule an appointment and wear a face covering when you arrive.
Learn more about the facility, including hours of operation, by visiting the HMMF website. You can also call 720-564-2251 to talk with an expert. The facility is located at 1901 63rd Street in Boulder, which is just north of Arapahoe Road.
