The public hearing for the Liberty Ranch Townhome Project, scheduled to be heard by the Board of Trustees at the August 31 meeting, has been postponed. Town staff is working closely with the applicant to further investigate and address the concerns of the existing homeowners, as expressed at the August 19 Planning Commission meeting. The item will be presented to the Board of Trustees for final consideration later this fall. Public hearing notices will be mailed out to Liberty Ranch residents once a date is finalized.

Adams Avenue (WCR 32) will be closed for two months due to bridge reconstruction. Weather permitting, this closure will start September 28 and continue through November. Local traffic will be permitted and detour routes for through traffic will be provided. The Adams Avenue bridge over the Upper Highland Ditch is located approximately 1500 ft west of 3rd Street (WCR 7), and immediately east of Grace Way. Residents of Grace Way will need to utilize access from the west.

Well breathe a sigh of relief because we have a new Community Service Officer! CSO Amber Burtis is a long-time Mead resident and will be taking the reins on code enforcement and animal control. She has a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice and previously worked in Safety and Security for the St. Vrain Valley School District. Amber plans to focus on working with residents and the community to ensure Mead remains an exceptional small town. In her downtime, CSO Burtis enjoys working out and heading to the shooting range.
