In addition to taking the proper COVID-19 precautions this Labor Day weekend, be sure to stay swim safe if you go to the pool or another body of water. Before you get in, make sure there is a lifeguard on duty or access to other safety equipment. Young children and inexperienced swimmers should use well-fitting, Coast Guard-approved life jackets when they are in the water. Don't get in the water if you have an open cut or wound or have been sick with diarrhea. If you can get in the water, only swim or recreate in designated areas. Stay cool and enjoy the long weekend!
