UPDATE – Public’s Help Sought Locating a Missing Child / Search Continues

The search for 12-year-old Hunter Denny is ongoing and we still need the public’s assistance. If you have seen Hunter or know where he is, please call the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office at 970-416-1985.

LCSO deputies and investigators, Larimer County Search and Rescue, Larimer County Department of Natural Resources Rangers, and the LCSO Posse are still searching for Hunter. They have used drones, search and rescue dogs, and a UCHealth Lifeline helicopter, but Hunter has not been located.

A more recent picture of Hunter is attached, and we believe he was last seen wearing the same clothing in this picture. See his full description and other details in the original press release below.

All of this information is posted on the LCSO Facebook page and we ask that you share it to reach more community members (https://www.facebook.com/larimersheriff).

September 29, 2020 at 2:00 a.m.

On September 29, 2020, at approximately 9:15 p.m., the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office was notified about a missing child in northern Larimer County. Deputies, investigators, and Larimer County Search and Rescue responded and have been searching for the child since.

Investigators learned 12-year-old Hunter Denny left home yesterday around 3:00 p.m. after a disagreement with his family. When Hunter did not return home after a while, his family began searching for him and then called LCSO.

Hunter was last seen near his home in the area of Pristine Pines Lane and Deer Springs Lane west of Red Mountain Open Space in Livermore close to the Wyoming border. Hunter is 5’00 tall, weighs about 100 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a tan Carhartt jacket, a red baseball cap, and possibly a green t-shirt. A photo is attached.

No foul play is suspected at this time.

If you have seen Hunter or know his whereabouts, please call the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office at 970-416-1985.
