Welcome the Type-4 Brush Truck:
2019 International HD, 4×4, Crew-cab chassis with a SVI fabricated fire body. It has a 750 gallon tank and a 360 GPM diesel pump that allows the vehicle to “pump and roll”. Controls for most of the fire suppression devices are able to be operated from the inside the cab or from the main operators panel at the rear. It is equipped with spray heads on the front corners and has a cab controlled turret on the front bumper that can flow up to 125 GPM. There is a curb-side reel hose that can extend 100’, and additional discharges on the front, rear and driver’s side. It has high intensity LED lighting on all sides for work-area illumination. It was also equipped with winch anchor points on all four sides.
This brush truck meets the specifications of a Type-4 Wildland Fire Apparatus, and it is being equipped to be able to operate as such. However, it’s primary design was to respond to ground cover fires and be capable of rapid mobile suppression, conserve resources, and improve efficiency.
