Reaffirming its commitment to protect and provide water resources for Weld County residents and the agricultural industry, the Weld County Board of Commissioners recently passed a resolution expressing continued support for the Northern Integrated Supply Project (NISP).
“Having a sufficient water supply is important to maintaining our state-leading agricultural industry as well as accommodating the growth of our county, which is expected to double in population by 2050,” Commissioner Chair Mike Freeman said. “The NISP will help both of those efforts greatly.”

Weld County’s Household Hazardous Waste facility located in Dacono will closed Friday, October 2, 2020, and Saturday, October 3, 2020, in order to assist with the City of Greeley's fall cleanup. The Greeley Household Hazardous Waste site, located at 1311 N. 17th Ave, will be open both days to accept typical household hazardous wastes, including, but not limited to, paints, pesticides, fertilizers, batteries, and motor oil.
