City of Brighton, Colorado Government Youth Services is hosting two more sessions of the Growing Grad's program "Crash Course: Road Map to Success" on August 11th and 18th.

Aug. 18: Professional Toolkit
In this interactive Zoom session, participants will learn how to define and communicate a personal brand. We will cover the basics of a professional toolkit— including using LinkedIn as a strategic networking tool, how to tailor a resume to reflect the skills most sought after by top employers, and tips for
effective interviewing.

27J Schools is committed to increasing early literacy rates.

While literacy is a top focus in our schools, we want to remind parents that you are your child's first teachers. We encourage you to make reading an essential activity from Day One. It's one small step that can have a huge impact on a young child's life. Like food, water, shelter, and love, reading is just as essential for helping kids thrive. And it’s never too early to start.

The Colorado Department of Education (CDE) has introduced a new campaign to encourage early literacy with reading tips and parent resources — easy-to-use apps, activities, and downloads that are available in English and Spanish on their new website at https://bit.ly/3iJsDPd.
