The Weld County Fair Thanks YOU!
The 102nd Weld County Fair was another fun, successful event for our 4-H and FFA youth, and it’s all thanks to the support of the many people who sponsored or attended and participated in the online shows throughout the past week. We also appreciate the dedication and great work of our many volunteers and all the kids who prepared exhibits, projects or showed animals in one of our many showmanship events. We recognize the effort you put into preparing for the fair and that effort is what helps the fair remain a special, meaningful event every year.
To everyone who made the Weld County Fair part of their schedule, your support is gratifying, and we hope you enjoyed the online events and photos via social media. The fair has been a staple in Weld County for 102 years, and the continued gathering of our community – albeit different this year due to COVID-19 – shows the value we all place in agriculture and celebrating the many talents of our youth.
Thank you, Weld County! See you next year (hopefully, in person).

9/28 Smoke Outlook
More info at: https://wildlandfiresmoke.net/outlooks/NorthCentralColorado
If there is increased smoke from the fires, Estes Park will likely experience it first in the afternoon, and then northwest winds will push it towards the northern Front Range urban corridor in the late afternoon and evening. Boulder, Longmont, Loveland, Fort Collins and Greely could have smoke in the evening and into the nighttime. Laramie and Cheyenne will be mostly Good with periods of Moderate smoke into the evening and night.
CDPHE Air Pollution Control Division still has an action day for particulates until 4pm. There is now an Air Resource Advisor (Brett Anderson) for the Mullen Fire. We will issue a joint forecast for the time being.

We’re seeing an increase in reports of scams impersonating law enforcement personnel demanding payment for warrants over the phone. This is a scam! We will never ask for money over the phone to clear a warrant!
