The National Science Foundation announced that CU Boulder will receive a $25 million award to launch a new quantum science and engineering research center.
The center is named Quantum Systems through Entangled Science and Engineering (Q-SEnSE) and will bring scientists and engineers together to explore “grand challenges.”

Congratulations to Nevin Platt Middle School eighth-grade teacher Erin Greenwood, who was recently selected to receive the prestigious Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST).
Established by Congress in 1983, the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching represent the highest honors bestowed by the U.S. government for K–12 science, technology, engineering, and mathematics teaching.
Up to 108 awards are bestowed annually, including two for each state. Awardees receive a certificate signed by the President, a trip to Washington, D.C. to attend a series of recognition events and professional development opportunities, and join a cadre of over 5,000 PAEMST alumni. They also receive a $10,000 award from the National Science Foundation (NSF).
