It isn’t just the character on the package that influences a child in their snack choice. "The primary influence on kids’ choices is taste,” said Margaret C. Campbell, a professor of marketing at the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder. “The licensed character only has an influence on moving kids’ choices between foods with the same level of expected taste.”
