On Friday, May 31, 2019 at approximately 0032 hours, deputies with the Weld County Sheriff’s Office responded to a stolen vehicle in progress near the 36000 block of HWY 392. Deputies were advised that two GMC pickups and a trailer with a CAT skid steer was just stolen.
Deputies later were able to find the trailer which was near the intersection WCR 59 and WCR 66. Deputies spotted the stolen vehicles driving southbound on WCR 49 and were able to contact both vehicles. Both drivers of the stolen vehicles were taken into custody.
The first male suspect was later identified as, 23-year-old Jorge Beltran, is being charged with Theft ($100,000-$1,000,000), Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft, and Criminal Trespass 2nd Degree.
The second male suspect was later identified as, 35-year-old Antonio Medrano, is being charged with Theft ($100,000-$1,000,000), Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft, Criminal Trespass 2nd Degree, and Driving Under Revocation (Revoked). Both parties are in custody at the Weld County Jail.
All charges are merely accusations until proven guilty in the court of law. No other information will be released at this time
