Women's Health Week is May 12-18. During this time, the Weld County Health Department encourages women to improve their health by making it a priority and building strong, healthy habits. For women facing barriers to the care they need, the Weld County Health Department offers a program called Women's Wellness Connection (WWC). WWC pays for pap tests and mammograms for women who have no insurance or are underinsured, and addresses barriers such as language, transportation, child or dependent care, and insurance enrollment. For more information about WWC, call the Weld County Health Department at (970) 400-2400 or go to www.weldhealth.org.
