TSD Announces Winners of the
"Thompson Kids Can Change the World" Contest

Thompson School District is pleased to announce the winners of this year's "Thompson Kids Can Change the World" contest, which recognizes students who are making a positive difference in their community. A special "Thank You" goes out to all of the students who submitted applications in this year's contest. Each winner will receive up to $250 in supplies and materials to help make their plans a reality. More information on their projects will be released as they are completed.

K-5th Grade Winner
Khloe Lloyd – 2nd Grade
Truscott Elementary School
Khloe Lloyd thought a lot about how police protect people every day and deserve to be appreciated, but don’t get the respect they deserve. She noticed that police cars she saw around town were dirty. It made her think about how her family feels good when they clean their car and drive around town in it and that police might feel the same way. So, she decided to hold a car wash for police officers. “I believe that if we come together to show how much we believe in them, then they will know we are very proud to have them.” Khloe thinks that by showing kindness to others, positive changes can be made and that can change the world.
