Tonight from 5-7pm is the Milliken Middle School Academic Showcase. Highlights of the event include an Art Show in the Commons, WWII Gallery (student projects) in various classrooms, a Chopped Competition for students in the Food and Nutrition class, a variety of music performances and a Film Festival. The Student Council is also selling Pulled Pork as a fundraiser for dinner.

School Resource Officer Tope and a MES preschooler have a special bond. The preschooler visits Officer Tope every day to get a sticker and to say hello. Principal Willard thinks it is the highlight of both of their days. She has quite a collection that is kept on her backpack.

WELD RE-5J Selects New Superintendent On May 3, the Weld RE-5J School District Board of Education convened a special meeting and, after much discussion, voted unanimously to name Ms. Leslie Arnold as the sole finalist for permanent superintendent. On April 27, 2018 at 7pm in the Weld RE-5J Administration Building East Training Room the Weld RE-5J School Board will host a superintendent candidate forum. The forum will be moderated by our search firm, Colorado Association of School Boards. During the forum, finalists for the position of superintendent will have the opportunity to answer questions submitted by the community in advance of the forum. We are currently seeking questions
