In other BOCC news from this morning's meeting, a pretty remarkable thing happened. The Board TURNED DOWN A "FREEBIE" from a likely land use applicant!! In summary, an outfit called "Interstate Highway Construction" had approached the County for some ideas for "community service" projects to do in the County. Quick update from this morning's Weld County Commissioners meeting regarding the approval of the appointment of Scott Gessler to advise the Clerk and Recorder. Thankfully, there was really no drama. County Attorney Barker explained that in a case like this, he has an inherent conflict of interest, and therefore it's appropriate that the CCR have an independent advisor. Commissioner Kirkmeyer recused herself, and the motion passed by unanimous roll call
