One Individual Arrested after Narcotics bust in Weld County
On Monday, January 14, 2019 at approximately 2207 hours, a deputy with the Weld County Sheriff’s Office performed a traffic stop on a vehicle that was associated with a hit and run that had just occurred near Mead.
During the traffic stop K9 Loki alerted to the vehicle. K9 Loki is a certified drug detection K9 that is used often to assist deputies. During a search of the vehicle, deputies found 1.5 grams of methamphetamine and 18.2 grams of Heroin.
The driver, 44-year-old Chad Wood, is being charged with Possession of a Schedule II Substance (Methamphetamine), and Possession of a Schedule II Substance (Heroin). Wood is currently in custody at the Weld County Jail.
All charges are merely accusations until proven guilty in the court of law. No other information will be released at this time.
