Weld County had a tornado warning issued this morning at 6:57 a.m., and a tornado touched down between Keota and Masters. There was no reported damage!

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), in the last 26 years there have only been two tornadoes reported between 2:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. in our radar coverage area. One was between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m., and the other was between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. According to an NWS meteorologist, this only happens every 20-30 years in Weld County.

Even so, the Office of Emergency Management wants you to be prepared for severe weather at any hour!
