In 1962, May 15th was proclaimed by President John F. Kennedy as National Peace Officers Memorial Day. The calendar week in which May 15th falls is recognized as National Police Week.
The Weld County Sheriff’s Office honors;
Deputy Earl J. Bucher (EOW 12-31-1940) and
Deputy Samuel Kent Brownlee (EOW 11-20-2010)
both paid the ultimate sacrifice protecting their communities.
May their sacrifice and service never be forgotten.
