Sheriff Steve Reams and the Weld County Board of Commissioners recognized Deputy Leslie Wiemers for 31 years of dedicated service to the Weld County Sheriff’s Office and to the citizens of Weld County.
Deputy Wiemers has retired and will be missed. Wiemers served as a Detentions Deputy, Patrol Deputy and was part of the Weld County Drug Task Force. Deputy Wiemers was recently assigned as the school resource officer for Aims Community College.
Sheriff Reams said, “Les’ heart and dedication to public safety has never been questioned, He’s been a great asset to the sheriff’s office. We’re definitely going to miss you.”
